Brief Overview

Bound by Roots, Divided by Paths

This exhibition explores migration, memory, and belonging through a dialogue between Yoruba heritage and the lived experiences of communities in the West Midlands. Inspired by the story of Modàkèké and Ifẹ́, Bound by Roots, Divided by Paths reflects on how histories of movement shape identity, resilience, and the search for home.

Through new mixed-media works and community-led storytelling, artist Abraham Babajide Cole weaves ancestral narratives with local voices, creating spaces of reflection and connection across generations.

Join us this October at Dudley Library for an exhibition that celebrates cultural memory and the many paths that bind us together.
